After interning at top record labels in urban and pop music departments, he started a street marketing and promotions company that was known for visible street campaigns and being a heavy presence at clubs, concerts, shopping malls and music festivals - anywhere there was an audience Minus and his team brought artists and good music.

For years, Minus and his team did street promotions and marketing for numerous major and indie record labels including Def Jam, Capital, Death Row, Island, Priority, Motown, A&M, Arista, Polygram Distribution & more.

At the age of 22, he was hired as the West Coast Regional Manager in the West Hollywood headquarters of Jive Records. In this post, he serviced urban, adult contemporary and pop music radio stations with the biggest hits in music. In an industry built on relationships, Minus worked closely with radio programmers, station managers, on-air personalities and djs.

As a dj, Minus has traveled nationally and internationally with independent and major label artists including Petey Pablo (Jive Records), Nivea (Jive Records), Neyo (Def Jam Records) and appeared on The Wayne Brady Show with Nivea as she performed her hit, "Don't Mess With My Man."

Currently, Minus works as a music industry consultant. He is hired to promote new and independent artists on radio, social media and at live events. He frequently djs industry parties from the birthday part of Neil Portnow, President of the Grammys, to the latest gallery opening at the Palm Springs Museum of Art.
